Day 5. Symphony of Stones and Sevan

On Google and Yandex maps.

Had breakfast:

Arrived at the Symphony of Stones:

Swallow nests:

If you go further and climb the mountain, there’s a cool temple there. But Anton didn’t want to go — it was too hot and he still hasn’t learned to enjoy walking. Here are February photos of the mountain with the temple and a view of the Symphony of Stones from above:

Our impressions:

Anton’s review:

Seriously though, it’s an interesting place. As someone from the plains, I’m impressed when standing next to such tall cliffs. It even makes me a bit dizzy.

When I’m in such places, I can’t help but think what impression this made on ancient people :-)

Then we moved on:

Checked into a nice place on Sevan. The room:

Went swimming:

Sevan is one of the biggest high-mountain lakes. The climate here is different from Yerevan. Haha, “different from.” When we arrived, it was over 30°C, and by evening below 20°C. The water is always cool.

We ordered Sevan trout — it lives only here. They cook it right on the table over hot stones, pouring something like wine on it.

Review of Sevan trout:

By Anton’s scale — that’s a very good review!

I was surprised that when Anton tried the first bite, he said, “Mmm, tasty!” But later he said, “Once you eat more, the taste becomes normal.”

Watched the sunset:

Funny and slightly gross algae:

Went to the city of Sevan — bought Anton some fake Crocs. On his left foot — summer trail sneakers we bought in Yerevan. I’m shocked Anton’s already size 44–45 😱 Everything here must run small!

Relaxing:
