    One day in April
    Once a year in Soligorsk, a normally closed-off area with huge salt spoil heaps is opened to the public for the “Salt of Polesie” cycling marathon. This year, it turned into the largest cycling event in Belarus, with 3,000 participants. I rode the 75-kilometer route—which was actually 86.4 kilometers—and got to see landscapes that are pretty unusual for Belarus. I loved it!
